We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join our team at the Crewe site. In this role, you will effectively support the operation by ensuring the efficient running of systems, automation, and other applications in use. We would ideally prefer candidates that have worked in a Manufacturing / Production environment, however we will considered candidates from other backgrounds too.

Key Responsibilities:

  • React to and resolve technical issues in a timely and accurate manner
  • Proactively engage with necessary third parties to maintain system uptime
  • Provide IT services and support to onsite and remote users to facilitate business operations
  • Fully support the warehouse management system, RRP system, B2B/B2C systems, Track and Trace, and connected software/hardware
  • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate corrective actions efficiently
  • Work with third parties to resolve hardware and software issues as needed.
  • Actively support ongoing business critical projects in the team. This involves assisting with detailed project planning and execution, resolving issues efficiently as and when they arise and also includes actively engaging with internal and external stakeholders to align on business requirements.
  • Ensure timely progression of change requests, adhering to project governance and ensuring compliance with IT policies and guidelines.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Red Hat Linux
  • Oracle/MS SQL database skills
  • ITIL experience
  • Mobile device experience with Android/iOS
  • Understanding of PLC communications in automated environments
  • Ms Azure and O365
