Are you an adaptable IT professional ready to take on a dynamic role in a manufacturing environment? An exciting 9-month contract opportunity awaits for an IT Support Technician to join our manufacturing team in Crewe. We are seeking a versatile IT technician who can handle a wide range of responsibilities, from supporting systems and applications to assisting end-users. Key Responsibilities:
React to and resolve technical issues promptly and accurately to maintain system efficiency.
Proactively engage with third parties to ensure the uptime and reliability of systems.
Provide IT services and support to both onsite and remote users, facilitating seamless business operations.
Offer full support for systems such as the warehouse management system, RRP system, B2B/B2C systems, Track and Trace, and connected software/hardware.
Efficiently troubleshoot issues and coordinate corrective actions.
Collaborate with third parties to address hardware and software issues as required.
Actively support ongoing business-critical projects, including detailed project planning, issue resolution, and stakeholder engagement.
Ensure the timely progression of change requests, maintaining project governance and adhering to IT policies and guidelines.
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of Red Hat Linux.
Proficiency in Oracle/MS SQL databases.
Experience with ITIL practices.
Competence in managing mobile devices with Android/iOS.
Understanding of PLC communications in automated environments.
