My clients are a dynamic and evolving local business based in Bedford, seeking a motivated and personable 2nd Line Engineer to join our growing team. If you are a skilled communicator, a problem solver, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you.

The ideal candidate would be a technical maestro, well-versed in end user support, Microsoft Windows, desktop applications, mobile devices, server technologies (Active Directory, DHCP), and cloud solutions (Office 365, Druva, Gamma Horizon, Mimecast).

Possession of Microsoft or other vendor certifications is highly regarded. Beyond the technical expertise, we seek a flexible and personable professional ready to thrive in a rotational ServiceDesk schedule from 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Sunday. The role may involve occasional travel within the UK and abroad.

Duties:

  • Customer driven IT support for the company’s users, equipment, and infrastructure. Support will be a mixture of on site, remote connectivity, and physical travel
  • User and equipment provisioning and deprovisioning, on prem & cloud
  • Operational support of all of business applications
  • Project involvement, membership in IT and business-led projects
  • Rollout and support of remote locations in the UK and abroad
  • End user support
  • Infrastructure technologies
  • Cloud technologies - Office 365, Druva, Gamma Horizon and Mimecast plus others
  • EPOS systems – Tills, PDQs & associated technologies Work with other 3rd party support partners Preform agreed monitoring checks
  • Work with wider team to reduce call volumes by identifying and resolving issues
  • Awareness of IT Cyber Security across the estate – escalating issues accordingly Health & Safety
