We have a new role for a 1st line support person for a software company based in Northampton. You’ll have 1 yrs. experience working as an IT support consultant ideally on a busy Helpdesk / 1st line trouble shooting ideally on software applications or supporting, MS Windows2000/XP/Vista coupled with knowledge of MS SQL server and or Oracle DBs (9i/10g/11g) is preferred. With experience in supporting Windows you’ll have experience of exchange or Active directory coupled with MS Office2000/XP/2003/2007.

The ideal candidate will be prepared to work on 24X7 Rota, working 4 days on and 4 days off

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an Agile environment supporting Customers with application problems (Product training is given). You’ll will be given full training to assist with supporting the application with the Development team. This is a great role for candidates with experience of supporting windows at 1st line support level to progress to a support / development role - so an interest in IT Support is essential. This role will also suit Graduates from an IT / Computer Science discipline looking to for an opportunity to evolve their skills in a commercial environment where training will be given, but an interest in Development and Support is essential.

If you have a passion for Client Support and technology this role is for you. We will consider good IT Graduates or Strong Customer Service candidates with an interest in development.
