Back-End Software Engineer ( Node / TypeScript / Serverless / AWS )

Salary range 40,000 to £60,000 +10% Bonus

Manchester City Centre - 1/2 days in the office per week

One of Manchester's new and exciting scale-ups are looking to rapidly expand with the introduction of 1 new division to work with the existing business. There will be 3 brand new squads to work on in the financial services arm of the business and they are looking for Software Engineers within the Node / AWS / TypeScript space.

The skills needed for the role include:-

• JavaScript (ES6+)
• Node
• AWS - Serverless, Lambda, Kubernetes, Docker
• TypeScript
• GraphQL (Desirable)
• GatsbyJS (Desirable)
• Jest, Jasmine, React testing Library

The main responsibilities of this role will be: -

• Ensuring you are building the future of their applications using Node/AWS/TypeScript
• New product development
• Collaborating within the team across all forms of Software Engineering
• Identifying areas of improvement and implementing changes such as refactoring code
• Bringing fresh new ideas to put into production - no idea is unimportant!
• Having a strong testing mindset, no code should be written if you don't know how to test it first!
• Have a strong DevOps mindset, but also being responsible for the code you design throughout the full lifecycle
