I wanted to introduce you to John - who has been a Principal Engineer for quite some time!

John is particularly strong in the Front-end arena with a real emphasis on micro-frontends with experience in vertical and horizontal slice splits, where he does his routing and caching via Varnish.

John’s main experience has been building out a new checkout journey using GatsbyJS for his client-side sub-app, using React Router, and giving him more control over the multi-step process. Using Stripe for the payment API and to communicate via Lambda functions deployed alongside the site!

John has experience with React, Node, Angular, TypeScript, GraphQL, GatsbyJS, AWS, Azure, Lambda, Jest, Mocha, Karma, Enzyme, RTL, TeamCity, Octopus, Jenkins and CircleCI

John currently oversees a team of 8 developers of different seniorities and during his time at his current company has introduced various new development practises including testing practises as more companies move to a multi-disciplined team structure
