Project Manager

Responsible for managing all aspects of a project from its initial handover, throughout the project delivery through to the end of the Defects liability period.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to the company Health and Safety policy, and ensure full compliance with Health and Safety standards & regulations

  • Attend handover meeting from Sales at commencement of project.
  • Overall control and responsibility for the project budgets and commercial spend.
  • Provide, maintain, regularly update and communicate a project programme / plan.
  • Maintain a project risk and issue log.
  • Prepare and maintain the project technical data register.
  • Prepare and maintain the project quality plan.
  • Prepare/agree project specific quality check sheets for the sub-contract works.
  • Prepare and maintain the project environmental plan as required by the project.
  • Ensure all project activities complete in accordance with the project programme / plan.
  • Work with the Design Office Manager and provide support the design team in terms of progress monitoring, drawing reviews and problem solving.
  • Work in conjunction with the project Commercial Manager to obtain quotes for installation and other subcontract works and materials required within budget price and programme.
  • Ensure that all orders including purchase orders are placed in line with project plan.
  • Working alongside the procurement team play an active role in chasing and organising material delivery ahead of time.
  • Attend all external meetings as required by project/client, including design, progress, financial or any other meetings that may be required.
  • Chair regular internal meetings to review, design, procurement, fabrication, site activities (progress, quality, safety).
  • Ensure the site installation packs are prepared and handed over to the site managers in good time.
  • Ensuring method statements and risk assessments are prepared and maintained by the site managers to allow works to progress to the project programme.
  • Prepare Weekly status update report and issue
  • Prepare detailed monthly project progress report. (Internal & External to client).
  • Prepare monthly finance report in conjunction with Project Commercial Manager.
  • Play an active role in the Identification of variations, obtain written instructions, and assist the project Commercial Manager in managing the issue of Client Instructions and payment of the variations.
  • Upon site visits carry out a weekly site safety inspection audit.
  • Provide a consistent point of contract throughout Project for our Clients.

  • Performing other duties within the projects department as required.

  • Provide assistance to the sales department on project tenders. For example installation strategies, Programme, logistics etc.
