SEO Manager - ecommerce / retail
Lancashire (Hybrid - 1-2 days per wk in office)
£45k - £55k
We're working with a highly-established, independent retail brand in Lancashire, who are investing heavily in building and growing their ecommerce function; with the target of being one the UK's leading online businesses in their sector.
As part of this strong growth, they are replacing their SEO agency with an in-house team and are therefore seeking an SEO Manager to develop and execute their SEO strategy - focussed around delivering high-quality sales traffic to their ecommerce websites.
The primary focus is Content & Outreach strategy (50%) to drive organic traffic which converts and being creative with keywords to compete against national brands. Domain Authority (SEMrush, MOZ) and Technical SEO will also make up part of the role, although the tech and on-page SEO has already been started.
To support this strategy, they are also hiring for an SEO Executive and SEO Copywriter, so you'll have two potential reports. Management experience is advantageous but not essential, as they will consider a Senior SEO Executive who is looking to step up into a management position and will develop your leadership skills in this area.
They will also consider strong SEO's from agency or non-retail backgrounds; most importantly you are passionate about SEO best practice, keep up-to-date with industry trends and have a proven track record in driving online traffic which converts (commercially savvy).
Led by their inspirational managing director, who has 23 years' experience building and running big-brand ecommerce companies, he is a huge advocate for SEO and the value it brings - so you'll have full support and buy-in from the board and will be on hand with a wealth of knowledge.
We feel this is a fantastic opportunity - a blank canvas with strong financial investment into digital marketing - which will give you all the tools you need to make a huge impact in terms of growing online sales and revenue for a large online retailer.
