QA Engineer - Test Analyst | Web APIs
Northampton (Hybrid - 1 day per week in office)
£35k - £45k dependent on experience
We are working with a highly successful SaaS business in Northampton who are embarking on a period of rapid growth following acquisition.
As part of this expansion, they are now building their first dedicated QA testing team and are looking for 1-2, experienced (min 2 years) Software Testers to kick this off.
It's a really exciting time to join this business; a genuine, product-led Technology company who have an international presence. They have an in-house software engineering team of 7 (in the UK) which is due to double this year and their their platform now has users exceeding over 1.2Million globally.
This is therefore a really interesting opportunity for a talented QA Test Analyst to join them and launch a brand-new department, helping shape and lead their Testing capabilities as their product offering expands - currently includes Mobile & Tablet Apps and Web.
They currently run over 3,000 automation tests for their APIs (Driven by the Development team) and now need expertise on other areas such as functional testing, acceptance criteria and user story writing in particular.
Experience in an Agile Scrum environment would also be beneficial as you'll be working closely with the Scrum master. You'll also work closely with the Customer Support team on bugs - identifying and reporting them back to the Developers.
If you have Automation Testing experience (Selenium etc) then this is a bonus - as is Mobile App (iOS and Android) testing - however they are happy to consider manual testers who have worked in a Software Development environment and are keen to learn Automated techniques and tools such as Cypress which they use to test their frontend Javascript frameworks.
