Lead Software Engineer / Tech Lead - Azure, C#

Greater Manchester (Remote / Hybrid) - must be willing to travel to Manchester couple of times a month.

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Software Development Lead to join our client in Greater Manchester. This is a hands-on Technical Lead position, combining team leadership and hands-on Software Development of their Azure-based, SaaS software and technologies.

This role would suit a highly experienced, Lead .NET Software Engineer with a strong track record in the design, build, test and implementation of software and associated best practice, processes, tools and techniques; coupled with in-depth knowledge across the Azure Platform.

This is a global client with a 150 year old brand, and a market leader in their sector. Whilst they have an international presence, this role sits in a small, innovative R&D team that is focussed on delivering cutting-edge SaaS / PaaS solution; critical, 24/7, highly-resilient, cloud-based services that retrieve data from global locations using IoT technology.

As our Software Development Lead, you will help deliver the technology strategy by managing and leading a small Agile team (2 developers, a BA and a QA - and alongside a Technical Architect) ensuring the delivery of high-quality software leveraging Microsoft Azure whilst contributing to the build yourself.

Projects will include the improvement of their current projects - focussing on enhancing the UX of their platform - but also brand-new products, with plenty of these on their roadmap.

Ideally you will have worked in a similar technical leadership role managing high-performance Engineering teams before; and be extremely comfortable managing sprints, prioritising requirements, and tracking progress to ensure on-time delivery, as well as supporting the teams professional development.

You will also have significant experience with C# .NET development and the delivery of leading-edge Azure PaaS & microservices - including App Service, SQL, and DevOps.
