IT Support Engineer - Office 365 / MacOS

IT Support Engineer - MacOS, Windows, Office 365

Based - Huddersfield (onsite)

Salary: £25k - £28k Depending on Experience

Our client, a National Retail and distribution organisation, are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their Huddersfield office and play a key role in providing technical support to their users - both MacOS and Windows - as well as exciting project work, including Cloud migrations.

It's an exciting time to join this well-known brand, as their IT department continue on their journey to the cloud (O365 / Azure) and you'll get plenty of exposure to modern infrastructure technologies..

Their Huddersfield office is a design studio and is primarily an Apple Mac / iOS environment. As the sole IT Support Engineer based in this office, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, upgrading and installing Apple / MacOS software and products, so some Mac experience is highly advantageous.

You'll also need Windows support experience to 1st line level, as you'll be working alongside the Southern office based IT Team to help support their users remotely - which is primarily a Microsoft / O365 environment.

The role would suit a 1st line or 2nd line Support engineer with 2 years experience working on a busy helpdesk / servicedesk coupled with fantastic customer service skills.

Why is this a great role?

Task Ownership: Whilst you're reporting to the IT Manager remotely - you'll be the point of contact for this office and have a chance to lead IT support activities across their Apple environment.

Cloud project exposure: as they continue along their journey to the cloud, there are several projects in the pipeline around migrating systems to Azure and O365.

Career Progression: The opportunity to add project involvement to your skillset will be invaluable if you are hoping to progress your IT career to 2nd, 3rd line, IT Management and maybe even Consultancy in the future.

Mentorship: working directly under a hugely experienced, fantastic IT Manager who takes a genuine interest in the careers of his IT Engineers. You'll be mentored, trained and challenged, all with the view of improving you as a rounded IT Support Engineer.
