IT Support Engineer - 1st line (Junior / Graduate)

We are working with a Global Manufacturing company who are growing their internal IT support function; with the latest vacancy being for a 1st Line Support Engineer.
This would be the perfect opportunity for a Junior IT Engineer, who has either recently graduated, or has 1-2 years commercial IT experience, supporting and fixing IT issues from a service desk, to work within a Global IT Operations team and be the first port of call for their Users for any IT problems.
The role would therefore suit an enthusiastic candidate with strong communication skills, as you'll be working on a remote service desk and taking support calls from Users, sometimes who are frustrated due to their systems not working. Therefore being able to work under pressure, have an empathetic manner and be able to effectively escalate or assign the issue when needed, is important.
From a technical perspective, the role will come with training. However you'll have a strong base understanding of Windows / Microsoft desktop support and a desire to build your knowledge across various infrastructure technologies, in order to progress up to 2nd line support level in the future.
