Data Architect - ERP implementation

Remote with twice a month in one of the UK offices

to £90,000 basic excellent Benefits

12-month fixed term contract

We are working with a Global Manufacturing client (HQ Bury, Gtr. Manchester) who are hiring for a Data Architect as part of a European-wide implementation of Dynamics Business Central ERP; starting with the UK & Ireland.

Full budgetary approval is in place and they are ready to go; so it's exciting times for the Global IT Director and his Systems team as they prepare to launch the latest phase of their Cloud / SaaS Transformation, with this Microsoft D365 BC rollout, ultimately replacing 36 regional ERP's.

This UK stage of the project will set the benchmark for the EMEA and Global ERP migration; as such this is a key role for the Project meaning we're looking for a talented, experienced Data Architect with ERP experience to ensure the quality and accuracy of their data modelling.

Responsibilities include:

  • Define, execute and manage the data architecture for the ERP implementation.
  • Collaborate with Process Owners and stakeholders to evaluate the current data architecture and identify opportunities for development to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data management, in line with the new ERP implementation.
  • Lead the assessment, data clean up, and integration of Sage Line 50 and Navision 2009 into Microsoft D365 Business Central for the UK business.
  • Map the new ERP Data Model to incorporate existing data sources, tables and fields, for the migration into Business Central.
  • Design, plan and deliver the implementation procedures of the data discovery and migrations to include data cleansing and archiving, with the associated middleware including API's and Microsoft Cloud technologies.

Being a D365 Business Central implementation, strong knowledge of a Microsoft environment is essential, even if your experience is not specifically on Dynamics / Business Central, F&O (Navision, NAV etc is ok).

Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform & core data services along with SQL, no-SQL, Data Lake, Data Bricks, Synapse and PowerBI will all win you brownie points.
