Company Overview:

Julie Rose Recruitment are looking for an HR Assistant to use their knowledge and understanding of HR legislation to strengthen the HR department for their client in Sevenoaks. This is a newly created position for an HR Postgraduate, who is looking to put theory into practice and to grow in the world of Human Resources. Reporting and working directly with the HR Manager.

Responsibilities for HR Assistant:

  • Writing Procedures for Processes
  • Employee Onboarding/Leavers + associated tasks, contractual letters to employees
  • Training Coordination
  • Preparing/Publishing Company Newsletters
  • DBS/Enhanced DBS Requests
  • Actioning; Paternity/Maternity Requests
  • Preparing packs for Benefits; Death in Service – Private Healthcare
  • Educating Regional Managers in HR Processes
  • Research of HR legislation and putting into practice in way of procedures
  • Contracts & Offer letters (when the HR Manager is on annual leave)
  • Preparation of Employee Rewards
  • Keeping company documentation updated, Organisation Charts
  • Issuing of updated Employee documentation, i.e., Employee Handbook
  • Probationary completion letters
  • Putting Tupe (ELI) information together when required

Skills and Qualities for the HR Assistant:

  • Graduate Degree in HR (Preferred)
  • CIPD Level 3 (Preferred)
  • Excellent Organisational Skills
  • Excellent Communicational Skills
  • Attention to detail

The above outlines some of the duties to be carried out and will be under the supervision and guidance of the HR Manager, some duties may vary from time to time and additional responsibilities may be added or removed as the company grows.
