Import and export knowledge is essential as this busy role will include the co-ordination of all of these activities in line with HM revenue and customs regulations. Attention to detail is a crucial skill as you will be tasked with checking and monitoring courier invoices ensuring accurate invoices are given in a timely manner. Good communication skills are a must, not only to liaise with your great colleagues but also to check export controls with the customs legal counsel.
Experience in logistics or road transport are a highly desirable skill to have as well as being able to communicate effectively with a range of customers and suppliers about a variety of different questions or issues they may have.
In terms of a salary you will be looking at up to £26,000 depending on experience. The role is Monday to Friday with just one Saturday in six.
