Our client is well known privately owned name in large format print and shop fit outs. After weathering the storm of 2021, they are now back in growth mode and need a new production supervisor to join the team. You will have a positive attitude and have previous experience with a large format print environment.

They are looking for an Estimator to join the Account handling team. The role shall predominantly involve costing jobs and projects for clients. This is a great role for someone already working as an Estimator, or someone looking to move into the position from a large format production role.

The business is a down to earth, relaxed but really ambitious team environment who we do a lot for. They are now looking for the next member of the “gang” to support them so that they can focus on what they do best of all, printing and creating wonderfully visual things.

Main Duties

• To price Digital Print, Large Format Print, Print Finishing, and Installations and submit to clients.
• To create job estimates for new products
• To ensure the quote provides quality and value for money to the client whilst remaining commercially viable for the company.
• To promptly handle all enquiries and orders within agreed timescales
• To collaborate and liaise with pre-press, production and fitting teams.
• To liaise with suppliers to source appropriate materials, quotes, turnarounds etc.
• To work closely with Accounts to provide structure and guidance at the early quoting stages and beyond.
• To review pricing regularly
• To carry out all associated administration.
• To work collaboratively with the production installations and accounts admin teams to ensure a quality service to our clients.
• To provide excellent customer service
• To participate in project meetings

Required skills, experience and knowledge:

• Experience of working within large format print would be ideal.
• Excellent communication and time management
• Experience in a client facing role is essential
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good attention to detail and quality
• Excellent level of print estimating experience (Ideally Tharstens / Clarity)
• Experience in production management
• Buying experience for digital, litho, large format and finishing
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Sound knowledge of commercial print process
• Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
• Excel at plate spinning!!
