Business Development Manager

DESCRIPTION:
My client is a large leading privaltey owned print company who believe that print is the embodiment of a brand; a tangible touch point for their customers that needs to make a truly great impression. This is where they come in - they are brand guardians, innovators and runners of the extra mile. From digital, large format litho and large format to prepress and finishing, everything is in-house and state-of-the-art. Whether their client wants a beautiful brochure or direct mail that delivers a 3D twist; they have got the technology and expertise to make it happen.

Due to a continued period of steady growth and success, they are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who has experience of Digital or Large Format Print processes to join their team.

Responsibilities as Business Development Manager will include:

• Carrying out prospecting activity to identify, develop and build relationships with new clients
• Identifying key decision makers within prospect accounts
• Following up on allocated business leads to identify new business opportunities
• Contacting and meeting with potential clients – growing, maintaining and leveraging networks
• Creating persuasive presentations, taking into account the client's needs and objectives with the aim of converting prospects to customers
• Carrying out negotiations and handle objections by working through issues and concerns to achieve positive outcomes
• Building business with existing clients by presenting new product and service ideas to them
• Looking to develop new solutions to meet existing customer needs
• Attending industry events and conferences and provide feedback on trends and future developments

What our client is looking for in their Business Development Manager:

• Experience of working in a sales role within the printing industry
• Proven track record of identifying, developing and securing B2B sales opportunities
• Excellent networking skills
• Ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• High degree of professionalism and attention to detail
• Ambitious, persistent and self-motivated
• Articulate, confident presenter
• Excellent numerical skills
• Good knowledge of print market and competitors, the solutions and services our client provides provides to customers in all sectors
• Sound working knowledge of computing systems especially major Microsoft applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experienced in using Management Information Systems
• Researching organisations and individuals (using social media) to identify new leads and new markets
• Submitting new business progress report on a fortnightly basis to senior managers
• Using internal computer systems, including Optimus
• Authorising all quotations prior to submission to customer
• Obtaining credit checks from finance What our client is looking for in their Business Development Manager:
