Account Manager

Our client is a very well known name in the print industry. A highly versatile and creative business they produce products that are unique in their appearance, giving them stand-out quality in the market. Due to growth they are looking for 2 account managers to join the client services team.

Working within a Centre of Excellence, your hybrid role as an account manager will see you play a fundamental role in achieving an ambitious sales target by understanding your customers’ needs and requirements whilst maintaining and expanding your current account base. Coupled with this, you will be responsible for issuing accurate instructions to our factory and recording all transactions on our MIS system. You will work in an organised manner, take ownership of your clients, and proactively manage their work in progress. You must work cohesively with the External Sales Team to deliver a high standard of service and in developing new opportunities.

Duties

  • Raise accurate Estimates on our MIS system capturing all costs and confirming details back to the Customer in a Quote Letter
  • Follow up on Estimates raised to chase down an order and feedback if we are unsuccessful
  • Issue an Order Confirmation on receipt of each new PO placed
  • Convert an Estimate into a Job, ensuring instructions are clear for all departments
  • Share your workload with colleagues and help others around you
  • Raise and receipt (where applicable) accurate Purchase Orders
  • Manage all work in progress effectively, making certain that you know at what stage in production your jobs are progressing to throughout
  • Ensure product is manufactured to the exact customer specification, to a high standard, and that it is delivered on time
  • Confirm delivery dates and summarise these in a Work In Progress report, sent to customers at an agreed frequency
  • Liaise with your customers to ensure production milestones are achieved on time
  • Investigate and solve customer problems within an acceptable time frame, ensuring regular updates are provided during the process
  • Generate accurate invoices to customers on a daily basis where applicable
  • Ensure your figures are correct for each job in our MIS system so Budget Projections are reported accurately to the business via our BI platform
  • Document all customer visits and important discussions using the Visit Record template and publish to Directors, Line Managers and relevant departments promptly
  • Provide input on annual sales budget and quarterly reforecast budget for Sales Director
  • Work collaboratively with the External Sales Team to ensure monthly and quarterly budget figures are achieved or exceeded
  • Upsell all services and product lines and proactively grow existing business
  • Assist other departments with monthly housekeeping requirements
  • Ensure customers and suppliers deliver as per our Goods In Procedure
  • Log NCRs on our MIS system to ensure they are addressed by the management team and corrective actions are put in place where appropriate

  • Support the team in making good commercial decisions as and when they arise
  • Attend the daily production meeting to update on the department, documenting and distributing updates from Line Managers via email
  • Display monthly budget figures and be able to explain any movement
