Our client is a well-kept secret within direct mail. Privately owned they do marketing work on behalf of a range of private sector clients in the form of door drops, conventional direct mail and more personalised campaigns. Due to further growth they are looking to add a new account manager to the team. We have had the pleasure to recruit for the business over the past 5 years and they have a culture 2nd to non.

We are looking for someone with experience in either a direct mail or commercial print production environment.

Job Purpose:

In this challenging Account Manager role, you will manage customer orders from brief through to delivery. You will be responsible for the client relationship, project management, on time delivery, and to budget and develop innovative campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • There's nothing everyday about the work in this role. You will liaise between Production, Suppliers and Clients making this role a crucial member of the organisation. The role represents a good opportunity to influence, as you work with Management in guiding, advising, and implementing best practice across the operational capability of a growing business. Delivering excellent customer account management.
  • Managing customer requirements (with Marketing & Sales) through the business from initial contact to final delivery.
  • Assisting with customer requests across a full range of print / direct mail services.
  • Acting as a production consultant across print and associated services.
  • Building effective rapport with customers in conjunction with Marketing & Sales, retain revenue and generate growth.
  • Raising job bags, orders and taking ownership of projects ensuring quality and service levels are achieved.
  • Managing a series of accounts in conjunction with Marketing & Sales.
  • Deliver a quality, cost effective product through efficient management by yourself.
  • Liaising with staff in other departments and with external suppliers. Participation to ensure good teamwork.
  • Assist in management of production schedule.
  • Contribution to moving the business forward.
  • Aid and assist in the smooth functioning and running of the company.
  • To comply with the company’s quality, environmental & IT security procedures.

Skills & Personal qualities required:

To ensure your success in this Account Manager role it is essential that you have experience in a similar role with a proven track record of managing Print. This role will suit an Account Manager who is ambitious, creative, and passionate with a strong understanding of print production.

To have good personal presentation, be polite, tactful, and friendly. You will have impeccable telephone manner, excellent literacy skills and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task several key projects at any one time and be proactive in identifying and delivering company needs, which is essential. You will have the ability to handle problems, complaints and difficult situations in a patient, calm and effective manner. This is a role that will require minimum supervision and maximum initiative.
