A unique opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to become a significant member of an established and steadily expanding Main Contractor in Surrey.

You will have the opportunity to work on exciting and varied projects across different sectors and develop your skills within a supportive and dynamic team.

The Contracts Manager role is with a leading construction company based in Surbiton, specialising in new build, refurbishment, and fit-out projects across commercial, sports, residential, churches, and school project sectors.

They are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team and oversee projects ranging from £1m to £8m in value, all within the M25.

Key responsibilities for the Contracts Manager:

  • Manage the delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure everyone is working effectively and efficiently
  • Monitor project progress, identify and manage risks and issues, and implement appropriate actions to keep projects on track
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring profitability and accurate reporting
  • Provide regular project updates and progress reports to senior management

Key skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a Contracts Manager role, ideally within the construction industry
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Experience in managing budgets and financial reporting
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and manage risks and issues effectively
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field
