Kentuckys fastest-growing Service provider are now looking to add to their expanding Engineering team. We’re on the Search for an Engineer with a background in ISP Networks and some layer 1 technologies.

Organically grown over the last 25 years its important we find an Engineer who can be bought into a family-centric culture within the workplace and someone who wants to work for a collective cause.

You’ll part of the Senior structure to the team help to head up planning design and implementation of a juniper Core Network (previous Juniper experience not required). You may required to help with some high BAU support from time to time but it wont be the main element of your role.

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the architecture and performance of a regional service provider network.
• Leads the design of the network and operations.
• Analyzes networks to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, scalability, and security. Recommends upgrades/ changes as necessary.
• Recommend and negotiate transit and transport for upstream and peering connectivity, with a focus on redundancy, diversity, and reliability.
• Provide Leadership and mentoring.

Required Qualifications/ Requirements:

• 4 years’ experience in ISP network design, management, and support.
• Experience building and maintaining ISP networks.
• Experience deploying optical networks.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLAN.
• Knowledge of MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS, IPV4, IPV6, VRF.
