About the Job:

We’re again working exclusively for USAs leading provider for IP Networks and Managed Services as they look to bring on board an Engineering Director to head up a team of IP Network Engineers as the grow out their foot print further in the US.

We are looking for a strong leader with experience in large scale ISP networks, team management, project management, and innovation to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clear vision for your team and execute that vision methodically
• Represent your team in leadership meetings and communicate success, roadblocks and new ideas effectively
• Foster and maintain a team environment of excellence, success, and accountability
• Set team and individual goals, define performance metrics and KPIs, track project success
• Identify needs and opportunities for network hardware upgrades, capacity increases, code upgrades, and innovation
• Create and drive standards across the network and ensure that we are fully compliant to those standards and policies
• Manage the maintenance schedule for network infrastructure
• Hire and retain engineering talent
• Flexibility to travel as needed, estimated up to 20%

Required Qualifications/ Requirements:

• Experience leading a network engineering team in a large-scale ISP network
• Experience on ISP networks with experience in Juniper, Cisco, and optical network equipment
• Automation experience with technologies like Python, NETCONF, Ansible
• Strong leadership and communication skills
