RM Recruit are working in partnership with a fantastic School who are on the lookout for an School Business Manager to join them on a permanent basis. Applicants who wish to register their interest on a temporary to permanent basis will also be considered.
The role is working closely with the COO and duties include:
- Leading and managing the administration team
- Act as the lead on all leading support staff assisting the COO to ensure that the school meets its aims
- Ensure the school has appropriate policies and procedures in place in accordance with legislation.
- Be responsible for providing professional leadership and support in partnership with staff, to enhance their effectiveness in order to achieve improved standards.
- Liaise with the staff to oversee operational working arrangements
- Maintain a strategic plan that will indicate the trends and requirements of the school development plan
- Ensure resources, support and training are provided to enable work colleagues to make the best use of available systems
- Ensure the school’s GDPR policy is clearly communicated to all staff in school
- Ensure that all recruitment, appraisal, staff development, grievance, disciplinary and redundancy policies and procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements
- To oversee all procedures to ensure the safeguarding of children (including the maintenance of a Single Central Record and all HR records).
- Promote and manage the staff wellbeing plan.
- Ensure safeguarding training and line manage site Manager
- Ensure the safe maintenance and security operation of all school premises
- Manage the maintenance of the school site
- Oversee the school’s Health & Safety policy and procedures.
- Ensure the school’s written health & safety policy statement is clearly communicated and available to all people
As the ideal candidate, you will possess strong experience working in a similar role preferably in a school or educational setting. You will possesses good School Business Managerial / Operations Manager experience and will lead by example.
