RM Recruit Ltd are working with a brilliant academy Trust based in Alcester who are on the lookout to recruit a Project Accountant on a full-time, 12-month contract basis working onsite with the scope to become permanent.

As the successful candidate you will participate in the running of the monthly management accounts process and work alongside the other areas of the organisation, to aid critical thinking, purpose, and vision.

Main duties include:

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts
• Provide commentary and assist with budgets and forecasting
• Providing accurate figures to senior personnel
• Reconcile nominal accounts
• Consolidation of monthly financial results
• Assist with group financial analysis, including strategic financial planning
• Management of the annual audit and preparation of year-end statutory accounts
• Forging key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Support in month end and statutory accounts preparation
• Presenting accurate information to senior stakeholders
• Participate in management and development of the Group Finance Team
• Posting journals and uploading relevant information onto finance system
• Provide support to the finance team and financial controller

As the ideal candidate, you will be Part Qualified/ Qualified by experience and possess experience working in an educational setting, however, candidates from outside of the sector are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will possess a driving licence as there will be occasional travel involved between sites across the West Midlands. You will be familiar with month end duties including drafting management accounts and you will be a confident communicator who can forge relationships with a number of stakeholders.
