Main Responsibilities

• Regularly represent Technical Delivery in Design Authority forums and present solutions as required.
• Technically lead network aspects of the project and compile HLD/LLD documentation.
• Collaborate with global IT teams and InfoSec to ensure Ted’s infrastructure estate remains secure and any proposed solutions are compliant with security policies.
• Perform analysis and report on firewall and routing configurations across on-premise and Cloud tenants.
• Review target architecture and ensure is fit for purpose and complaint for upcoming migrations.
• Ensure on-premise Data Center networks can be safely collapsed with no impact to the business.
• Hands on approach required to assist senior network administrators with implementations to ensure the project is a success.

Tools of the Trade

• Substantial knowledge of MPLS, firewall, routing and load-balanced technologies is key for this role with the ability to review existing network architecture and propose optimal solutions.
• Experience with Azure ExpressRoute implementations essential.
• Significant on-premise to Cloud migration project exposure is essential.
• Holistic approach to solution design.
• CCNP/CCIE/Azure qualifications beneficial.
• Experience within Cloud transformation programmes would be beneficial.
• Experience optimising Cloud consumption would be advantageous.
• Excellent writing and documentation skills. Writes detailed, well thought out, logical and well presented documentation suitable for consumption by all in a professional organisation.
• Experience in developing policy and processes.
• Excellent oral and presentation skills.
• Always puts quality first and can consistently deliver quality results even when under pressure.
• Not afraid to accept responsibility.
• Understands ITIL service management and is used to working in a controlled environment.
• Exposure to/knowledge of any of the following will be beneficial: PCI DSS, ITILv3, ISO27001.
