Title: Stores Manager Location: Cambridge based, also travelling to Bracknell, Brentwood and Woolston Hours: Monday to Friday (very occasional Saturdays) Offer: £30,000-£50,000 company van + fuel card, including benefits (laptop, phone, pension, holiday, sick pay) We are currently seeking a Stores Manager to join our leading Fibre and Telecoms client in Cambridge! You’ll be based at their Cambridge Depot, but you will also be tasked with managing 3 of their other depots across the UK: Bracknell, Brentwood and Woolston.
Responsibilities:- Responsible for security, control and recording of materials across 4 stores locations
- Responsible for Health, Safety and Environmental aspects of 4 stores locations
- Lead, develop and motivate 9 Stores staff members across 4 stores locations
- Develop and maintain cost effective and ISO compliant processes for the accurate recording of materials movements and quantities. Ensure staff understand these processes and use them effectively
- Develop and maintain cost effective stores and yard storage solutions that comply with relevant legislation, ISO standards and manufacturers recommendations. Ensure staff understand these and use them effectively
- Maintain regular contact with Operations so that you are aware of future plans. Anticipate changes in stores requirements, and plan accordingly.
Essential Requirements:- Driving Licence ESSENTIAL
- Experience managing Stores or Warehouses
- Experience managing teams of Stores Operatives
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 / 9001 / 14001 standards
Desirable Requirements:- CIWM (WAMITAB) qualified – (training can be provided)
- Telehandler and forklift operator certificates desirable. (Training will be given where necessary)
