Title: Highway Electrician
Location: Newton Aycliffe 
Offer: Permanent PAYE £41,600 (company car/van + fuel card, 25 days holiday, pension, healthcare and opportunity to progress)!
 
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our Highways and Streetworks Technology client for a Highways Electrician to join them on a permanent basis in the Newton Aycliffe area! The company are also involved in projects around Streetlighting, EV Chargers, Traffic Signs technology installations and maintenance.

As the Highway Electrician, you will be responsible for  delivering all aspects of electrical works including cable installation & termination, electrical minor works, lantern replacements, fault finding & repairs, general inspection, testing both new & existing installations & the relevant certification.
 
The Highway Electrician will need to be based within a commutable distance to their projects based in Newton Aycliffe.

Highway Electricians Responsibilities:

• Deliver electrical elements of Traffic-Signs, Street Lighting & Technology Installation works making sure the quality of the works meets the lates IEE Regulations, customer specifications, & requirements.
• SWA electrical terminations into lighting column & feeder pillars
• Installation of secondary isolators into lighting columns
• Wiring & installing lanterns
• Testing & inspecting on street furniture & the completion of test certificate’s
• Fault finding
• Electrical survey’s
• Cable pulling
• Cable jointing
• Working from MEWPS

 
Requirements & Qualifications for the Highway Electrician role:

• Full UK driving license
• Streetlighting experience
• CSCS/CPCS, ECS cards
• Street work IPAF
• G39
• City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in electrical installations
• C&G Inspection & testing 2391
