Highway Structures Inspector
Location: East London office (near Barking), will include site visits 
Offer: Permanent salary £25,000 - £35,000 (company car/allowance and fuel card, 24 days holiday, pension, healthcare etc.)
 
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our Highway Construction and Maintenance client for a Highway Structures Inspector to join them on a permanent basis in East London!

As the Highway Structures Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out and completing Principle Inspections and General Inspections as defined by the programme set by the line manager. The projects youll be involved in will include Bridges and Road Surfacing/Reinstatements etc.

We are looking for someone with at least 1 years’ experience as a Civil Engineer/ Inspector/ Civil site experience.


Highway Structures Inspector Job Description:

• To prepare and review RA/MS documents for structures inspections. Ensure working practices adhere to the RA/MS and the principles of Safety for a Reason.
• To promote safe working practices in accordance with company standards and lead by example, demonstrating commitment and passion for zero incidents
• To complete reports against client’s specifications for Principle Inspections and General Inspections.
• To support maintenance and scheme teams to achieve specific operational goals.
• Assist the engineers and team in reducing cost base
• You will be required to work on rare occasions during the night and over weekends (5-10 times a year in total).

 
Requirements for the Highway Structures Inspector role:

• Must have a Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering degree (ESSENTIAL)
• Have at least 1 years’ experience in a Civil Engineering position, with experience working on Construction sites (ESSENTIAL)
• To have a full UK driving license (ESSENTIAL)
• Have experience using AutoCAD (DESIRABLE)
