Title: Highway Operative
Location: Banbury
Offer: £27,000 + Overtime + HGV Training and other training for licenses + packaged benefits (pension, holiday etc.)
Hours: 7am – 7pm for 2 days. 7pm – 7am for 2 nights with 4 days off (4on- 4off shift)
 
We are currently seeking a number of Highway Operatives to join our client in Banbury to work on the local Highways Network! The company will also pay for training, such as gaining your HGV license, chainsaw and other Highway qualifications, while also increasing your salary to £30,000 a year!

You will be working on a shift pattern consisting of 2 days on, 2 nights on followed by 4 days off, overtime is also available to increase your earnings. As youll get 4 days off a week, if youd prefer not to do overtime, many candidates keep their side jobs as an increased way of earning!

Groundwork, Landscaping, Construction, Manual and Skilled Labour experience will be looked upon favourably but is not essential for this role as full training will be provided. If you like the sound of the role or have questions please apply with your latest CV and we will be in touch to discuss!

Duties:

• Taking part in Emergency Response duties, helping close the motorway when there are crashes or spillages on the highways
• Health and Safety Minded – for yourself and your co-workers
• Identifying Defects on Highways, potholes, damaged fences and barrier and cutting back vegitation
• Reinstatement, Asphalting, Signage, Kerbing, Concrete, excavation & Landscaping

Requirements:

• Full UK driving license - ESSENTIAL!
• Happy to work 4 on - 4 off shift pattern
• An interest in gaining on-the-job qualifications (HGV, Chainsaw, NRSWA and LANTRA certificates) and learning a new field of work!

 
The company heavily invest in their staff, paying for expensive training courses and licenses, such as HGV, chainsaw and other LANTRA/Highway qualifications! They will also increase your pay by a further £3000 once completing any of the above qualifications. They have 3 depots across the UK, they prefer to internally promote Supervisors and Managers, so youll have an increased advantage of promotion!
