Title: Project Manager Location: HYBRID between Gloucester office and home working 2/3 days a week
Package: £50,000 + benefits: Car Allowance / Company car, 25 days holiday, pension and healthcare
My client, a leader in Highway Construction and Highway Maintenance are currently seeking a Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis at their site in Gloucester! Hybrid working is optional for this role 2/3 days working from home.
If you’re looking to progress your career, my client is happy to consider applicants who are newly qualified or currently in Supervisory positions, with at least 1 – 2 years’ experience in Highways / construction related backgrounds.
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for planning, managing and co-ordinating multiple projects at once. You’ll be working in the Capital Works team managing structural projects, steelwork repairs and bigger improvement schemes.
Strong communications skills and client relationships management will be the key to your success in this role. You will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining these relationships, ensuring delivery of works.
Key Responsibilities:- Responsible for attending site visits and surveys, problem solving, removing blockers and monitoring H&S
- Creating H&S packs and promoting safe working practices
- Responsible for managing multiple projects at once, with values up to £1million
- Using your initiative to prioritise time sensitive projects to deliver them on time
- Schemes managed will include: carriageway patching and surface treatment, footways, structures, drainage, improvements and major projects.
Experience & Qualifications required:- Highways/ Civils background ESSENTIAL
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relatable Management positions
- Qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction would be desirable
- NRSWA, SSSTS, Prince 2 or APM qualifications desirable
- Building strong relationships and lead teams of internal and External colleagues.
