Stock Controller

We are recruiting for a Stock Controller for our growing supply chain client who have operations at several locations in the UK and a growing 'hub' located on mainland Europe.

The role will be based in Birmingham.

This is an exciting newly created role and whilst there is a general outline of the duties associated with the role below, we are looking or an experienced stock processional who would like the opportunity to develop a role and wider stock management function that is effective, reactive and fit for purpose. No legacy issues to deal with just an operational business that is growing impressively. Working with the SMT to drive performance.

The successful candidate will want to 'own' their area, able to foresee possible supply chain risks and find suitable solutions. This role will work closely with key and longstanding clients to drive stock performance, contractual agreement and client satisfaction.

An example of expected duties:

  • Drive key customer stock relationships and agreements for long-term stock supply needs.
  • Responsible for overseeing receipt of stock, storage and dispatch of products.
  • Planning, organising and managing all stock related activities of a busy warehouse.
  • Overseeing physical stock checks as and when required and ensure that all any stock anomalies are investigated thoroughly.
  • Communicating any stock amendments to the customer in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicating any pre-advice not received within agreed timescales to the customer to effect a speedy resolution.

  • Ensuring that all relevant KPI reporting documents are correctly maintained.
  • Carrying out other administrative duties accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Ensuring that all lines of information flow between internal and external parties is maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Investigating of Supplier Non-delivery and non-conformance.
  • Maintaining a steady flow of stock from overseas facilities to where it is needed.
  • Coordinating stock control operations with warehouse staff.
  • Support and assist with Stakeholder Continuous Improvement Opportunities.
