Regional Operations Manager (South East)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Regional Operations Manager for my client covering their South East region and the operational sites within.

Travel between sites (all South East) will be a requirment of this role. The lead site being near Farnborough should be considered the day-to-day operational base.

As the Regional Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for your teams performance, striving for consistent excellent service delivery whilst driving regional profitability.

The successful candidate will have a backfround gained in a warehiuding / branch network / transport / logistics enviotnment or similar.

Key duties will include:

  • Reporting directly to the UK Operations Manager and in conjunction with the Branch Managers / Regional Branch Directors drive operational best practice across regional operations whilst ensuring a H&S zero harm environment.
  • Leadership and management of a multisite team across the South East, developing a high performing team able to adapt and meet business needs whilst delivering a customer focussed service.
  • Drive operational best practice, overseeing tight stock management whilst delivering 100% product availability.
  • Drive your teams through the application clear and accurate productivity and efficiency metrics.
  • Oversee stock take schedules, stock take instructions and a review of results, audits and site reporting.
  • Maximising use of regional assets.
  • Regular reviews with the BMs, RBDs and branch Transport, Warehouse/Ops Managers against key sales & operational metrics.
  • Review operations process at all locations and agree an improvement plan with the BMs to drive efficiencies in best practise, customer service and reduce waste and overtime.
  • Monitor and management of key performance indicators, with specific targets to reduce both by agreed levels by branch.
  • Drive a ‘customer focussed’ mind-set within the operations and logistics teams and ensure great service is recognised.
