** Hybrid role: 1-2 days in the office, 3-4 days working from home **

Are you a talented Commercial or Insights Analyst, or are you aiming to be one?

Can you demonstrate that you have experience around the analysis of both internal and external sales information in order to drive insights and recommendations to colleagues within the marketing, sales and channel teams? Or if you haven't got the experience, are you a recent graduate with a relevant analytical degree looking to start a career in this field?

The Role:

In this Commercial Analyst role you'll report to the Commercial Director and will be primarily responsible for wide ranging data analysis in order to generate meaningful insights and MI to highlighting commercial growth opportunities.

Specifically you'll be tasked with reporting on sales performance and wide-ranging research activities including modelling, using data from customers, as well as paid for and publicly available sources.

You'll spend part of the working week based in the company's Staffordshire office (1-2 days), and the rest of it working from home (3-4 days). Details around how this will work will be revealed on application.

The Candidate:

To be the right person for Commercial Analyst role you will need direct experience around the analysis of internal and external sales information to ultimately give insights and recommendations to the marketing, sales and channel teams.

We also need you to be competent in spotting trends and reporting on customers, product category, price point and channel.

It's important that you also have the following:

  • Strong excel and office skills, and experience with a CRM and business intelligence tools
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels within an organisation, ensuring data is presented in appropriate styles in a way people understand (non-analysts)
  • Enthusiasm and energy when it comes to market, customer and product data and providing actionable insights

You'll also need to be the following:

  • Data literate, using data as a resource to be converted into actionable insights
  • Able to understand the business commercially and develop industry knowledge to spot trends and gaps and make recommendations
  • Able to clearly communicate conclusions, analysis and insights from sales data to key stakeholders

The Package:

The basic salary for the Commercial Analyst role is between £26,000 - £35,000 per annum plus benefits depending on experience.
