I have a superb opportunity for a Technical Consultant with Disaster Recover experience. I have a MSP Consultancy specializing in secure cloud services, including Disaster Recovery, Online Backup and Virtual Infrastructures that need a new Tech Consultant to join the team. Due to a recent acquisition my client is about to undergo huge growth so it's a great time to Join. Based in Northampton they offer Hybrid working - 2 days Office 3 WFH.

The Technical Consultant (M356, DR, Azure) will provide 3rd line technical support, coupled with undertaking consultancy / project work, and also ensure customer incidents are resolved as quickly as possible.

The ideal candidate will have the following a minimum of 5 years' experience in a role supporting servers, networks, virtualized systems, backup and DR solutions as well as M365 & Azure

The Technical Consultant will also have proven experience of enterprise / mainstream technologies and applications primarily focused on Microsoft 365, Azure, AVD, Windows Server, RDS, group policy, AD, VMware, Veeam, Asigra & Acronis- but with strong DR (Disastor Recory) exp including DRAAS, VEEM, Backup.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical Consutancy to clinets around DR, MS365, Cloud
  • Provide 2nd & 3rd line technical support and undertake project work for all customers and resellers
  • Ensure customer incidents are resolved as quickly as possible (on and off-site)
  • Take responsibility and exceed company Service Level Agreements
  • Work closely with customers and resellers to ensure that a high level of communication and engagement is maintained
  • Assist in creating and maintaining strong relationships with resellers

Ensure that solutions are installed to appropriate standards and industry best practice

  • Provide occasional out of hours support and maintenance as required, including evenings and weekends
  • Provide assistance to the team for technical design, implementation, and support of customer incidents and projects
  • Undertake customer audits and create appropriate documentation
  • Create and maintain suitable customer infrastructure / service documentation
  • Assist in maintaining and supporting infrastructure across two datacenters
  • Suggest improvements for the on-going development of the company
  • Ensure daily monitoring and resolution of issues relating to customer backups, DR solutions (DRAAS) and IAAS platforms

Qualifications & Desirables:

Experience with other enterprise / mainstream technologies and applications such as Citrix and Cisco is highly desirable. Industry recognized accreditations such as Microsoft Azure & 365, VMware VCP, CCNA, and VMCA, VMCE are highly desirable
