Transaction Recruitment are supporting our nationally recognised client in their search for an experienced Payroll Manager to join them on a permanent basis. You will be working as part of an industry leading business which provides managed payroll services. In this newly created position you will act as a Payroll Lead and will be responsible for managing a large multi-site payroll department, with premises across the UK. My client is looking for a proactive payroll professional with a strong desire to play an integral role in their continued growth plans.

This position offers remote working, but the position requires regular travel to varying office locations which may involve overnight stays.

Daily duties and experience required includes:

• Experience managing a large/complex payroll department from start to finish
• Previous bureau experience would be hugely beneficial
• Responsible for overseeing a multi-million pound annual budget
• Identify and implement process improvements to maximise efficiency
• Strong communicator with the ability to liaise with internal and external departments
• Compile documentation to offer clear directions for best practices
• Supporting the wider payroll function on a national level with queries that may arise
