Strategic Junior Project Manager

Our client, a fast-growing global pharmaceutical company with offices in the UK, and globally is currently looking for an ambitious Strategic Associate Project Manager to join its team.

You must be commutable to the client’s Basildon HQ, as the team is working in the office a couple of times per week with the rest of the working week spent at home.

The successful Strategic Associate Project Manager will be a graduate and will need to have some financial knowledge as you will be involved with Merger and Acquisition projects. You will also be liaising with the client’s Investment team and working on various modelling exercises and the calculation and presentation of financial prospects. It would therefore be highly desired for applicants to have or be working towards qualifications such as AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.

In order to be considered for this Strategic Associate Project Manager role, you will be a highly analytical candidate who has a logical approach to their work. You will also need to have:

  • The ability to maintain and track detailed project plans across multiple operational departments
  • Be able to oversee, manage, and coordinate various Mergers & Acquisition projects, including Due Diligence processes and collaboration with the corporate Investment Unit on various financial models and projections
  • Experience managing and coordinating a product development pipeline, working closely with the product development teams and aid the shortlisting and transition of pipeline initiatives.
  • Designed project plans aligning to internal requirements and deadlines, using Excel and / or GanntPro
  • Identified potential project problems and risks, and mitigate contingencies and implement corrective actions
  • Have arranged and led inter-departmental calls and meetings
  • Experience in producing monthly MI reporting and ADHOC reporting, as well as preparation and presentation of monthly updates to key shareholders
  • Have experience of develop and managing ongoing professional relationships with key partner companies and other internal and external stakeholders.

You will have some experience of Project management in a fast-paced environment, and you will, have demonstrable experience writing, planning and monitoring project plans to meet project timelines, goals and objectives.
