My client, a company that designs, manufacturers and supplies professional lighting systems throughout the world is looking for experienced Project Managers who can work nationally on-site on various projects.

Reporting to the Major Projects Manager you must have a minimum of five years’ proven Project Management experience in an M&E or construction environment ideally with an Electrical Bias. Successful Project Managers that join the team will also:

• Have an understanding of commercial building infrastructure.
• Have any Knowledge of electrical systems and lighting systems
• Have a broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law and legislation
• Have knowledge of contracts such as NEC and JCT formats.
• Must understand and had experience of commercial contract management.
• Have a good financial acumen and understand a P&L, WIP and Cost Control
• Have knowledge of CDM regulations
• Have IOSH Managing Safely qualification and/or SMSTS. A NEBOSH Construction qualification would be highly desired
• Have a recognised technical qualification in construction, M or E or similar
• Have a recognised qualification in Project Management or have worked with specific Project Management methodologies

It is highly desired that Project Managers understand RISK in relation to a project and must have demonstrable experience of Commercial, Financial, Safety and reputational risk.

Successful applicants must be willing to travel and occasionally stay overnight near the project site as the work is national. However, where possible the client will give the successful Project Manager, projects as close as they can to your location as and when possible.

Project Managers must have ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and have line management experience as you will be supported by a project supervisor. You will be commercially aware and be able support the BD team to Identify and develop a short/medium- and long-term pipeline of project opportunities, Leveraging opportunities through visibility and presence on customer sites.
