My client, one of the leading private providers of short-term accommodation and support services to the Public Sector are looking for an experienced IT Programme Manager to join its team.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be an IT Programme Manager that has experience in leading small teams, with a background in managing sub-contracted IT technical support, system development and business integration services.
You must be familiar with MS O365, as you be tasked with migrating to a new system using this and also be someone who is strategically sound with knowledge of cloud based cyber security solutions and managing the cyber risk within a corporate environment.
In order to be considered for this IT Programme Management role you must have:
- At least 2 years’ experience as an IT Manager/IT Programme Manager in a service orientated business
- Have experience of working with Directors and Business Leaders to discuss, write, agree and implement the IT strategy for the business
- Project management experience in a leadership role with specific Project Management methodologies highly desired, but not essential
- Experience of managing and recruiting a team of IT Development / Technical professionals
- Be able to speak to Developers and an understanding of the development lifecycle
- An understanding of MS O365 and its deployment
- A good understanding of cyber security software and the mitigation of cyber attacks
- Able to understand and help develop business processes to improve overall company performance
- Experience in the development and implementation of IT Software, systems and devices
- Proven stakeholder management skills as evidenced in previous roles
- Experienced in complaint management and resolution
The successful IT Programme Manager will act as the business lead for all IT projects including upgrades, new developments, software changes, and support requirements and will also:
- Be responsible for all IT and telephony inventory and infrastructure including its whereabouts, capability, and compliance
- Provide IT reporting as required by the MD and Board
- Agree and oversee project plans and monitor, report and audit progress ensure Directors are kept updated
- Review system change requests with the Business Development Manager and consider the impact of any change on systems and processes across the business before gaining sign off
- Manage the system change process so that changes are reviewed, authorised, communicated and implemented without detriment to the ongoing service delivery
- Attend regular and ad hoc meetings in-house, across the company’s operational area, within the business’ operations, and its suppliers to understand issues first-hand, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders discuss business requirements and new initiatives/technology etc
