Head of Performance Marketing

My client an award-winning on-line gardening business is looking for a vastly experienced Head of Performance Marketing to join its team.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the successful Head of Performance Marketing will have proven leadership skills and a track record of driving revenues and best practices in a B2C environment

You will also have a significant knowledge and a track-record of successfully executing performance marketing campaigns at scale, as well as demonstrable experience across all digital marketing channels (display, paid social, paid search, programmatic, SEO, email).

A track record of manging budgets and resources in a fast-moving environment will be needed as will the ability to utilise external agency expertise to meet strategic priorities

You will have experience in Managing, Coaching and Developing a team of specialists to optimise performance marketing including customer acquisition, customer retention, and conversion rates across all marketing channels and mediums that the client utilises. The ability to build strong relationships at all business levels, up to C-level is also very much key success in the role.

As the Head of Performance Marketing, you will also be able to:

Apply data driven insights to drive performance marketing strategies across all channels

  • Use best practice digital and analogue techniques and methodologies to recruit the maximum number of new customers possible within the business
  • Use analogue channels to include optimising the use of display and insert advertising in print media, cold list direct mail and third-party collaborations
  • Use digital channels to include organic and paid search, social media, display and any other method of economically finding potential customers.
  • Drive profitable sales from existing customers managing a highly evolved customer centric CRM program that utilises catalogues, e-mail, search, social and display advertising.
  • Ensure a market leading customer experience on the business’ website whilst driving a culture of consistent testing and learning to optimise user journeys with relevant personalised content, seeking to improve conversion across all devices and for all customer cohorts and journeys.
  • Ensure that the required reporting and analytics are in place to facilitate full evaluation of all campaigns and test programmes and provide business wide sales forecasting built around customer metrics.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and rapidly growing and award-winning on-line gardening business with success being measured by spend growth, profitability and retention of active customers, and reactivation of inactive customers.
