For this role we do require someone with experience of working with the SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority)

The Role:

As a Risk and Compliance Officer, you will be expected to demonstrate strong organisational skills and in-depth technical knowledge when undertaking designated activities and tasks. You will provide support to the UK CRO and the wider GRC team, with the embedding of the UK Risk and Compliance Frameworks, including providing input into the International Team, as well as GRC and Legal stakeholders from the parent company.

Supporting the UK CRO in the enhancement of UK Risk and Compliance Frameworks and ensuring that related Policies, Procedures and Controls are in place and operating effectively. Examples include ongoing review of Group Policies to ensure they are relevant for the UK, execution of the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan, maintaining the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, as well as ensuring effective Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Operational Resilience frameworks and documentation are in place; thereby providing oversight and challenge to ‘First Line of Defence’ colleagues to identify and mitigate the risks for which they are responsible.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in the application of risk management, compliance and/or internal audit frameworks within a UK Financial Services / FinTech or Legal environment.
  • Ability to deliver multiple initiatives / projects simultaneously and autonomously with a sense of urgency.
  • Polished written and oral communicator across management and executive levels of the organisation.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and process mapping software.
  • Good understanding of FCA, PSR, SRA and Data Protection / GDPR regulations.
  • Qualifications in a relevant field and/or industry accreditation / certification.
