They are the darling of their market. This is a rare opportunity for someone to be number 2 to the FC. Not surprisingly – we’re looking for a Unicorn in terms of background, experience, skills and personality.

The role:
This role will support the UK Financial Controller in all matters of finance whilst taking responsibility for completing various finance processes, procedures, and ad-hoc requests within set timeframes. A hands-on role ideal for someone who wants to get proactively involved in all facets of finance.
- Responsibility for all month end tasks including accrual accounting, B/S and P&L reconciliations.
- Supporting the UK Financial Controller in producing management and KPI reporting, monthly results analysis and contributing to FC commentary.
- Support the UK Financial Controller with statutory, audit and tax processes and reporting.
- Taking responsibility for lodging statutory returns, e.g. VAT, P60s, P11Ds, etc.
- Responsibility for Payroll processes, systems and third-party relationships including staff onboarding, system setup, payroll changes, processing and reconciliations.
- Responsibility for Accounts Payable processes, systems, third-party relationships, including supplier onboarding, invoice processing, payment runs and supplier account reconciliations.
- Responsibility for Accounts Receivable processes, systems and third-party relationships, including the developing of AR functions e.g. billing processes, billing systems, customer reporting, credit control processes and building customer relations.
And you?:
- CPA, CA or CIMA newly qualified
- Experience in management accounting and statutory reporting.
- Knowledge of taxation, audit and compliance obligations.
- Experience maintaining and processing monthly payroll.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Working knowledge and experience of UK payroll legislation (including the ability to monitor and analyse proposed and new changes).
- Experience with end-to-end automated accounts payable processing.
- Experience developing new processes as required, e.g. Accounts Receivable and Billing.
This is a key hire for the Business. The interview process will be 2 x fold with decisions made quickly.
