Lead Credit Risk Analyst

The Role

This is a Lead role, you’ll work in a team of 3 currently and have real exposure within the Business – so this isn’t for the feint of heart in that regards. You’ll own:

  • Develop, deploy and monitor credit strategies to deliver targeted commercial outcomes.
  • Ensuring all strategies are compliant with external regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite.
  • To ensure our Credit strategies are aligned to Credit policy.
  • To provide specialist support to the MD in the delivery of the business lending goals (volume and quality)
  • Providing ideas, identifying opportunities and recommendations to improve customer outcomes & business strategies through analysis and implementing these
  • Conduct rigorous statistical analysis, forecasting and data mining of various datasets to shape and guide decision-making across several strategic areas

Requirements:

You’ll come from a Credit Risk Analytics background, that’s for sure -though we’re agnostic in terms of Secured / Unsecured – Prime / Near Prime etc. This role is more on the Acquisition and ECM side, which could either add more strings to your bow or you’ll be able to share your deep knowledge and experience with the Business:

  • Relevant credit strategy experience within a financial services or retail lending environment
  • Proven track record of driving strategic/operational changes
  • Experience leading a key analytical function (people management experience not required)
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills using logical reasoning and analytical methods
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • One programming language (R, VBA, Python or similar) are a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
