Client

Global Technology and Engineering Consultancy with over 1000 Employees and some genuinely fascinating projects of work across Defence, Energy, Space, Rail and Government (amongst others). Known as a trusted and caring employer, they always deliver success on their projects. This role is a brand new role in a brand new division working within Defence.

Recent Projects include:

  • Designing a digital twin of a particle accelerator for implementation with a focus on secure design. (Azure)
  • Build data analysis and infrastructure for ingestion and analytics of ship tracking data in AWS using serverless technologies (S3, Lambda, C#, Terraform).
  • Helping an energy customer to maintain critical infrastructure by developing software that models and monitors state and damage to complex systems using ASP.NET, Entity Framework, Postgres and C#.
  • Enabling the energy industry to demonstrate data quality and providence via a blockchain.

The Role

The role will be to provide new, company-wide solutions that aid the UK Defence Intelligence community while keeping up with a constantly evolving global environment.

The chosen applicant will collaborate closely with stakeholders from Defence Intelligence and individual Services to comprehend their needs in terms of business and assist them in identifying potential improvement areas, looking into workable possibilities, analysing the consequences of change, and defining success metrics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business analysis to understand opportunities in the UK intelligence community and deliver transformative digital capabilities for military and business advantage.

• Define project scope, goals, and objectives in collaboration with Defence clients.

• Conduct research and analysis to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for modernisation and AI integration.

• Develop use cases, user stories, workflows, and functional specifications within a classified environment.

• Facilitate requirements workshops, focus groups, and feedback sessions for cohesive integration across the Defence ICT estate.

• Make prioritization and minimum viable product decisions based on analysis-led insights.

• Understand the impact of multi-domain platforms, data lakes, and cloud technology on the workforce, workflows, data, and technology.

You

Essential

  • Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and data analysis.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and project management.
  • Experience in using business analysis tools and techniques, such as requirements elicitation, use cases, process flows, data modelling, and visualisation tools.
  • Must be SC ideally DV Cleared due to the nature of this role.

Desirable:

  • Working level knowledge of Defence Intelligence platforms, culture and processes.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Live within Hybrid Commuting distance from Cambridge
