Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend and user-facing features from end to end using a user and product-first approach.
• Participate in the product development cycle from start to finish — anything from scoping work to measuring project success and planning iterations based on feedback.
• Conduct code reviews, communicate thoughtfully and effectively with colleagues
• Work alongside our customer success team to capture feedback & inform product roadmap.
• Balance development speed and quality, with a focus on real, deliverable results.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience writing software with a strong engineering background
• Experience designing & maintaining backend services & systems, user-facing APIs at scale - Strong with Javascript & Node.js (we use TypeScript). Additional languages always welcome.
• Front-end engineering experience (React preferred) & strong knowledge of web fundamentals (HTML DOM, CSS, vanilla JS)
• Organized and self-sufficient, prior startup experience

Bonus Points

• DevOps experience (AWS, Docker, serverless architecture, etc.)
• Experience or strong interest in data science & machine learning
