Who are my client?

My client is a specialist Project Management as a service company, meaning they have a pool of consultants who are permanent employees, that work on client site projects in the same way a contractor would. This allows their clients to ensure the right amount of support is given for each project.

This means that you as a consultant would be working on a variety of projects in both industry and scale.

How it works:

They operate on a Patch basis, with key patches, North West, Midlands, Northants, North London and West Yorkshire.

How it Functions is that the Consultants will be placed on client-side projects within an hour's travel of their location. If there is a project that a consultant would want to work on, but is over that time, then there can be a conversation, but that is down to the consultant. PM’s may also be between patches and can work in multiple areas.

What will you be doing?

• Ensuring a sufficient level of detail is prepared and maintained for projects, providing regular and accurate reporting on progress

• Ensuring project dependencies and assumptions are factored into the planning process

• You will identify, assess and manage project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies, escalating as appropriate via the agreed governance framework and methodologies

• Controlling the scope of the project, ensuring rigorous change control is exercised and the governance and reporting structure is appropriate for the project

• Ensuring all project status reporting is accurate, informative and timely, providing progress reports as agreed as part of the governance framework at agreed intervals

• Ensuring projects meet the requirements of the client and acceptance and handover to ‘business as usual’ is managed and met against agreed criteria and to a defined plan

• An energetic and pragmatic approach. Enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude

Key Requirements:

• At least 5 Years of Project Management experience
