Job Purpose:
The Pension & Investment Administrator will oversee the day-to-day administration of client accounts, ensuring efficient service delivery while resolving complex issues as they arise.
Main Responsibilities:
· Provide a consistent and efficient administration service to clients, ensuring high standards of accuracy and quality.
· Develop positive communication and working relationships with clients and internal departments.
· Identify and resolve day-to-day issues, escalating complex matters to the appropriate compliance channels.
· Manage the processing of pension schemes, including transfers, retirements, and investment business, ensuring all client communications are handled effectively. SIPP experience is essential.
· Maintain accurate records and respond promptly to client queries via telephone, email, or in writing.
· Offer support and expertise for ad-hoc client requests and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Recognise potential instances of fraud and money laundering, reporting these to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer as necessary.
· Work closely with the Pension & Investment Administration Managers on regulatory reporting and assist in training other team members.
· Contribute to the development and updating of procedures and manuals, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Previous experience in pension administration, particularly with Money Purchase and SIPPs, is highly beneficial.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
· Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage a varied workload within a small team.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and ideally Inteliflo, Volume, Imago, and Pulse dealing systems.
· A solid understanding of HMRC rules and wider regulatory obligations within the financial services industry.
· Willingness to undertake further study and enhance technical knowledge in pensions and investments.
