Job Title: Claims Handler
Location: Mansfield - Hybrid (1 day WFH)
Salary Guide: circa £30,000 + Benefits
Company Overview: Our client is an industry leading Insurance business who specialises in offering tailored Insurance advice to a diverse book of commercial clients.
Job Summary: We are looking for a Claims Handler to join our client's team. The role is responsible for managing a portfolio of client claims, providing support and guidance to clients, and ensuring that they get the maximum benefit from our services.
Responsibilities:
- Discussing new claims enquiries from clients, determine whether cover is in place and report to insurers on the clients behalf or advising them on how to make a claim.
- Handling existing claims for clients from start to finish.
- Reviewing ongoing claims for clients with a view to getting these finalised and settled.
- Ensuring all claims information is updated on our client's in-house system.
- Negotiating with insurers, Loss Adjusters, and other third parties.
- Liaising with internal Account Handlers and Executives to gain in-depth understanding of clients where necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in a claims handling role (Desirable), ideally in the financial services or related industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
