Job Title: Account Executive (Group Risk)

Salary: £35,000 per annum + 2 days WFH
About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Account Executive to join our clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and renewing both new and existing Group Risk policies, ensuring smooth communication between clients, insurers, and other relevant parties. You will provide vital administrative support, track medical underwriting requirements, and assist with all aspects of policy maintenance, renewals, and new business proposals. As a key member of the Group Risk Team, you will ensure that clients receive timely and professional service, while helping to manage and maintain accurate client records. Your attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to build strong relationships with both clients and insurers will be vital in delivering excellent client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and renew all new and existing Group Risk policies, ensuring timely distribution of renewal documentation, chasing payments, and tracking underwriting requirements.
- Work closely with clients, insurers, and relevant parties to ensure the smooth running of policy renewals and rate reviews. Provide clear and effective communication throughout the process.
- Maintain and update the medical underwriting database for clients, providing relevant information to the Group Risk Team when required for renewal or rate review processing.
- Handle queries related to renewals, administration, claims, reports, or policies, ensuring that they are raised with the appropriate Group Risk colleagues in a timely manner and followed up as necessary.
- Use the diary system to track actions required for policy maintenance and renewal processing, ensuring that all necessary follow-ups are completed on time.
- Assist the team with new business proposals, quote requests, and collation of necessary reports and documentation for Group Risk Team use.
- Ensure insurer accounts are accurate and sent to clients for timely payment. Follow up on outstanding payments as required.
- Maintain accurate records of client and insurer communications, ensuring that all files are up to date and easily accessible.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a Group Risk or insurance-related role, with a solid understanding of group income protection, group life, and group critical illness policies.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and insurers.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail, particularly with regard to policy management and underwriting requirements.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
