Overview:
- Working within the existing business team, negotiating and profitably underwriting both household and motor mid-term adjustments within my authority and in line with strategy and appetite
- Working closely with other Underwriters producing confident referrals for risks over my authority
- Responsible for prioritizing and managing all incoming existing business quotes and adjustments, proactively delegating to other team members and effectively managing workflow for the whole team, ensuring consistent adherence to SLAs
- Referral point for junior members of the team, assisting them in their development
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with various brokers, being a direct contact for many
- Managing the appraisal process to ensure service levels are maintained
- Assisting in the development of new products by being a key proof-reader of new policy wordings
