Electrical Generator Engineer

I am currently recruiting for an experienced electrical generator Engineer to join a leading power generation company in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and have experience on either diesel engines or generators. My client will offer full training and support on relevant power systems to ensure you have the required product knowledge for when you go out on engineering duties.

Responsibilities required for the role of Electrical Generator Engineer:

  • Carry out preventative maintenance in the field on a variety of diesel generators
  • Experience in load testing and load banking of all generators
  • Diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical faults including control systems
  • Qualified in wiring control panels and ATS panels, such as, Deep Sea Electronics
  • Generate detailed reports for repairs completed and further works required using Protean software
  • Be prepared to discuss with customers any servicing or fault queries
  • Work with full adherence to the company and customer Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies
  • Professional communication internally and externally

Skills & Qualification for a Electrical Generator Engineer:

  • 18th Edition
  • Electrical Certification level 2 or 3
  • ECS Gold Card
  • C&G 2391 inspecting testing
  • Apprenticeship
  • AM2
